Spanish success for Almondbury in the Arsenal Double Club competition!

On Tuesday May 8th six Year 8 girls headed down to the Emirates stadium in London.

The girls recently entered a languages competition run by Arsenal Football Club where they had to create an activity using Spanish and related to football. Over 250 schools from across the UK entered and they received hundreds of videos for the competition. They selected the best 20 entries to attend their World Cup Day and the Year 8 girls from Almondbury Community School were selected!

Congratulations to Ramiza Kesedzic, Xena Pape, Megan Wood, Kayla Charles, Ellie Pinto and Grace Harker! They had an amazing day at the Emirates Stadium in London. They took part in a quiz and other activiites - all in Spanish! They had a tour of the stadium, walked up the tunnel and on to the  side of the pitch!
