Brownlee Class Trip
Brownlee Class had a fantastic day out to the Thackery Medical Museum; taking part in the Florence Nightingale workshop as a celebration to the end of their topic. The children were able to demonstrate their knowledge of the impact Florence made on nursing in England and her legacy. We used artefacts to compare hospitals at the beginning of the Crimean war and after Florence had worked her magic! Children and staff also role played the journey to Scutari and helped Florence to clean the hospital and provide suitable resources for the poor soldiers. As you can see by the photo, Marco was very well looked after and made a full recovery. Comments were made by museum staff about what wonderful children we have; clever with impeccable behaviour. Well done Class Brownlee!
